Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekends even with the brutal Eagles loss! Here is a look at how our student-athletes competed last week:
Girls Volleyball:
The Girls Volleyball Team won their 1st-ever varsity match on Monday at Woodbury, 2-1. The girls won the 1st set 25-15 before losing the 2nd set 19-25. The girls responded in the 3rd set, winning it 25-10 to clinch the program’s 1st ever varsity win! The team followed that up with their 2nd win of the season, beating Burlington City, 2-1. The girls lost the opening set, 25-19 before rallying to win the next two sets 25-18 and 15-12. These Lady Panthers will look to continue their hot streak with a match at Pennsauken Tech today.

Marching Band:
On Saturday, the Palmyra Marching Band & Color Guard HELD their first ever Rhythm in Red, Marching Band Competition. They hosted six other bands for a Tournament of Bands sanctioned band competition and showed everyone their Palmyra Pride. Our award winning Marching Band then rounded-out the afternoon with their own performance in exhibition as the hosts traditionally do. While their score didn’t count towards the show’s placements, they would have again won another Best Music Award. Their score of 72.45 ranks them 9th out of 37 Bands. And they currently have the 2nd best overall music score for all of group 1A bands. They will do a doubleheader this weekend as they travel to both Clayton and Washington Township for shows this Saturday. Congratulations for a great performance and being great hosts.
