Mindful Monday Moment

In honor of Valentine's Day falling on a Mindful Monday, we take a look at adding a mindful reminder to "bedtime" routines.  This works with children & with adults as well.

By simply adding "the 3 things" to the bedtime list, you ensure mindful contact on three levels that will help smaller ones go to sleep and older ones remember to always reach out.  Hug/Kiss/Secret is simple and gives closure to the day.

  • The Hug is an all-encompassing physical connection with your small/big person.  This contact is so so important- especially in these years of social distancing. 
  • The Kiss is an intimate face-to-face moment of connection with your small/big person.
  • The Secret is a mental connection to your small/big person that engages your brain and could be as simple as, "I love you" or as important as, "tell the Tooth Fairy I put the tooth on the windowsill so that they don't wake me up!"
