Panther Athletics Update

-and NOW from our SPORTS DESK - Athletic Director Mike Papenberg reportsGood Day Everyone and welcome to June!  Only a few weeks left of school and we are wrapping up our 2024-2025 athletic events! Here is a look at our spring sports teams.

The Boys Track & Field Team duo of Sam Adams and Jaleel Latimore competed at the NJSIAA Group 1 State Championships at Franklin High School on Friday and Saturday. 
Congrats to Senior Jaleel Latimore who jumped 6 feet and 6 inches to win the NJSIAA Group 1 State Championship on Friday!  Jaleel will compete at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions this Wednesday at Pennsauken High School with the best athletes in the state from all groups.  Best of Luck!
Sam Adams also had a great meet and finished in 6th place overall in the state in shot put and 9th place overall in the state in the discus!

Girls were BCSL Independence Division Champs:

  • Junior-Samantha Domask-1st Team in the discus and shot put

  • Senior-Amanda Gilmore-1st Team in the high jump and 2nd Team in the triple jump

  • Sophomore-Ava Sims-1st Team in the triple jump and long jump

  • Senior-Keronja Watson-1st Team in the 400 hurdles

  • Freshman-Maya Richman-Dupont-1st Team in the 3200

  • Sophomore-Madison Grimes-1st Team in the 100 and 2nd Team in the high jump & the 200

  • Sophomore Ava Sims, Senior Keronja Watson, Senior Anna Rosica and Junior La’Nya Muldrew-Bracero in the 4 x 400

  • Sophomore-Zaria Welch-2nd Team in the discus

  • Freshman-Deanna Bailey-2nd Team in the javelin

  • Senior -Anna Rosica-2nd Team in the 400 hurdles and 100

  • Senior -Anna Paszkiewicz-2nd Team in the 800 and 3200

  • Senior -Ellie McCarron-2nd Team in the 1600

  • Junior -La’Nya Muldrew-Bracero in the 400

  • Senior- Marcus Grimes-1st Team in the triple jump

  • Junior- Michael Kozlowski-1st Team in the pole vault

  • Sophomore- Charles Rosica-1st Team in the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles

  • Sophomore- John Hammond-1st Team in the 1600 and 3200 and 2nd Team in the 800

  • Junior- Michael Monroe-2nd Team in the 100, 200 and 400

  • Freshman- Brock Weaver-2nd Team in the 100 hurdles and triple jump

  • Senior- Joe Barben-2nd Team in the shot put

  • Sophomore- Omar Kane-2nd Team in the javelin

  • Junior- Isaiah Colon-2nd Team in the discus

The Baseball Team lost their opening round playoff game to Buena, 10-1 on Tuesday.  The team finished the season 11-10 and in 2nd place in the BCSL Freedom Division.

  • Senior Stevie Peltz-1st Team

  • Senior Anthony Morgenstern-1st Team

  • Freshman Nate Bachich-1st Team

  • Senior Carson Strobel-2nd Team

  • Freshmen Justin Dellisanti-2nd Team

The Softball Team lost their opening round playoff game at Schalick in extra innings, 4-3.  Jisselle Martinez, Sidney Lim and Aubrey Wagner each had 2 hits for the Panthers.  Olivia Lynch and Sidney Lim each had and RBI for the Lady Panthers.  Jasmine Martinez pitched all 7 innings. The girls finished the season with a record of 7-12.

The Boys Tennis Team lost their 2nd round playoff game at West Deptford on Tuesday.  The boys finished their season with a 6-7 record.
