The PHS Environmental Club AND the CSS Art Club are collecting used/dried up markers and used/broken crayons. Separate collection tubs will be placed near PHS Door #1 for Middle & High School dropoffs. Collection is already set up at CSS & recycled items can be sent in to your child's homeroom or dropped in area of lobby.
Please make every effort to keep the markers and crayons separate wherever possible. As a further green measure- try not to use a new baggie to store them, we are trying to reduce the amount of waste we use.
The crayons are sent to be melted down by the Crayon Initiative & formed into crayons for children with difficulty manipulating a typical crayon and the used markers are recycled through the colorcycle program for energy & maker casings.
