Good Afternoon Palmyra! 

 The start of the Fall 23 sports season is here with Boys and Girls Soccer kicking off last week and Girls Tennis, Cross Country and Field Hockey all getting started this week.  The Marching Band & Color Guard will also have its 1st competition this week.  Here is a look at how our student-athletes performed last week.

Congrats to the defending SJ Group 1 Champion Girls Soccer Team on their big opening night win over Group 2 West Deptford High School 3-2 on Thursday.  Riayn DiMeo, Mikayla Mangano and Julia Ostroff all scored for the Panthers.  Maeve O’Connell made 15 saves to earn the win in goal.  The 1-0 girls will return to action today at Bordentown High School. 

The Boys Soccer Team opened their season with a 7-0 win over Group 4 Pennsauken High School on Thursday.  John Bilkins and Jaxon McCamy led the attack with 2 goals apiece.  Jase Jennings added a goal and an assist.  Callum Curcie added a goal and Kian Briant and Luke Cannuli each had 2 assists.  Deakon Haines made 5 saves in goal to earn his 1st career shutout.  The 1-0 Panthers will return to action today at Northern Burlington High School.

The Football Team lost to Holy Cross High School Friday Night by a score of 36-8.  The Panthers dropped to 1-2 on the season.  They will travel to Haddon Township on Saturday for their next game at 11AM.
