-and NOW from our SPORTS DESK - Athletic Director Mike Papenberg reports:                               Good Day Everyone,  Hope everyone stayed dry over the weekend!  Here is a look at how our teams performed last week.

 We are in search of a middle school girls basketball coach for the winter.  If anyone is interested please reach out to me ASAP.

The Girls Soccer Team had an undefeated week going 2-0.  The girls defeated Maple Shade on Tuesday 3-0.  Ellie McCarron, Angie Sauls and Mikayla Mangano all scored for the Lady Panthers.  Maeve O’Connell made 5 saves in goal to earn the shutout win.  On Thursday the girls demolished BCIT Medford 7-0.  Julia Ostroff, Mikayla Mangano and Angie Sauls each had 2 goals each to lead the offense.  Callie Carr also scored for the girls.  Maeve O’Connell made 3 saves to earn the shutout while Elsie Kenson made 5 saves while she was in the game.  The girls are now 5-1 on the season and will host BCIT Westampton on Tuesday in their next match.

The Boys Soccer Team had a 2-0-1 week.  The boys started the week off with a win over Group 3 Timber Creek, 4-1.  John Bilkins had 2 goals to lead the attack while Jase Jennings and Luke Canulli each added single goals.  Deakon Haines made 6 saves to earn the win.  The boys earned a 0-0 tie with Holy Cross on Wednesday.  The boys outshot the Lancers 17-8 but couldn’t find the back of the net.  Deakon Haines made 8 saves to earn the shutout.  The Panthers demolished Burlington City on Friday 7-0.  Abdula Iyiola had 2 goals to lead the attack.  Jase Jennings, John Bilkins, Richie Butler, Sam Adams and Callum Curcie all added a goal.  Kian Briant had 2 assists.  Deakon Haines added 2 saves to earn his 4th shutout of the season.  The Panthers are now 5-0-1 on the season and will host Bordentown today in a crucial BCSL Patriot Division Game. 

The Girls Tennis Team won their 1st match of the season on Thursday in a marathon match with Penns Grove High School.  

  • Olivia Ottenbreit won at 2nd singles(6-3, 6-2), 
  • Jane Ancker and Grace Stavely won at 1st doubles(6-2, 5-7, 10-5) and 
  • Jordyn Carter and Karly Klipple won at 2nd doubles(7-5, 4-6, 10-5).  

Congrats to the girls on their 1st win of the season!  They are now 1-2 on the season and will host Willingboro on Wednesday in their next match at Legion Field Courts.

Congrats to Colin Broadbelt and Cadence Anderson on finishing 1st in their Cross Country Team races on Tuesday.  The boys team defeated Pemberton High School and BCIT Medford High Schools at the meet.  Great job!

The Field Hockey Team lost to Moorestown Friends and New Egypt.  They will travel to Pemberton for their next game. 

The Football Team lost to New Egypt High School on Friday, 28-0.  The Panthers are now 1-4 on the season.  They will travel to Cherry Hill East on Saturday for an 11AM game. 

The Palmyra Marching Band & Color Guard was rained out this weekend but squeezed in excellent sound and visuals at the Friday night football game! They will travel to the Plymouth Whitemarsh Competition next weekend.

MIDDLE SCHOOL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The Middle School Girls Soccer Team beat Northern Burlington 5-0 in its opening game of the year.  Kyleigh Himel had a hat trick to lead the offense. 

Maya Richmon-Dupont and Raeghan Carr each added a goal for the Lady Panthers.  The goalkeepers included Anastasia Markovic, Allie Minnix, Raeghan Carr and Maddie Flynn who all accounted for the shutout.  The girls return to action on Tuesday at New Egypt.

The Middle School Boys Soccer Team lost to Northern Burlington 2-0 in its opening game of the year.  They will host New Egypt High School Tuesday at 4PM.
