National Police Week

We are #PalmyraProud of our partnership with the Palmyra Police Department.  A big shout out to our SRO, Officer Kendall, Chief Meghan Campbell and all the men and women who wear the badge and protect our town.

Nationally, the week's events run from May 9th through the 15th and coincides with National Peace Officers Memorial Day on Saturday, May 15th.  The annual Presidential Proclamation details the history of the observances since 1962 that honors Federal, State, Tribal, and local police officers and deputies.  This Year's focus for the Law Enforcement Museum is Officer Safety and Wellness with recognition for the mental toll that officers pay.

Locally, the Burlington County Police Chiefs Association held their Fallen Officers Memorial Service today (5/12) at 10am.  They solemnly honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice, including Thomas Whitelock of the Riverton Police Department.  Facebook video of this event is available here.

Thank you to Palmyra, Riverton and Beverly Police Departments for caring for the kids of our schools.
