Good Day and I hope everyone had a spectacular weekend! The Panther Athletes are continuing to have a tremendous start to the fall!  Here is a look at how they did last week:

The Football Team demolished New Egypt High School 34-12 on Friday.  Kwinten Ives continued his amazing season, carrying the ball 17 times for 209 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Bobby Woll rushed 3 times for 27 yards and 1 touchdown.  Adonis Jones scored on a 27 yard pass from Evan Montgomery to seal the win.  The Panthers are now 3-1 on the year and will host Cherry Hill East at home on Friday at 6PM.

The Girls Soccer Team continued their early season dominance and are still undefeated.  The girls blasted BCIT Westampton on Monday, 5-0.  Julia Ostroff recorded a hat trick to pace the girls offensively.  Angelina Sauls and Mikayla Mangano each added a goal and Riayn DiMeo provided 3 assists.  Maeve O’Connell made 1 save to earn the shutout.  The girls travelled to OLMA on Wednesday and tied 2-2.  Julia Ostroff and Angelina Sauls each scored for the girls while Maeve O’Connell made 13 saves to keep the game tied.  The Lady Panthers finished their week by crushing Pemberton High School on Friday, 8-1.  Lauren Gilmore, Julia Ostroff and Riayn DiMeo each scored 2 goals.  Ellie McCarron and Mikayla Mangano each scored once and Angelina Sauls and Callie Carr each recorded 2 assists.  Maeve O’Connell made 6 saves in goal to pick up the win.  The girls are now 7-0-1 on the season and return to action tomorrow at Florence High School at 345PM.  Here are some great pictures from Friday’s win over Pemberton.

The Boys Soccer Team also had an undefeated week going 3-0.  The boys started the week with a 7-0 win over BCIT Westampton.  Jase Jennings and Richie Butler led the Panther attack with 2 goals each.  Joe Russell, Abdula Iyiola and Kian Briant each scored 1 goal and John Liebe made 2 saves to pick up his 4th shutout of the season.  The Panthers then defeated arch rivals Riverside High School on Wednesday, 2-0.  Jase Jennings and Luke Cannuli were the goal scorers with Reed Wells picking up an assist.  John Liebe made 2 saves to earn his 5th shutout of the season.  The boys finished up their perfect week with a win at Gateway High School on Friday, 2-1.  Richie Butler scored in the 1st half and Joe Russell scored the game winner with less than 5 minutes left in the game.  John Liebe made 2 saves to pick up the win in goal.  The Panthers are now 6-1 on the season and will host Bordentown High School today at 4PM in a big BCSL Patriot Division Game.

Palmyra Marching Band & Color Guard had a tough week without their director, yet they persevered, practiced, & performed with the help of a few alum, a few Band Booster folk & a few band-friendly district staff.  The Marching Panthers came in a respectable 5th, improving their score by 2 points at the Tournament of Band’s Pitman Competition on Saturday. Their “22 Little Shop of Horrors” theme keeps getting better each time they take the field.

The Girls Tennis Team had 1 dual match during the week against Northern Burlington.  The girls lost 5-0 to Northern and then travelled to Veterans Park for the BC Open on Wednesday where they competed with other high schools from across Burlington County.  The girls are 1-4 on the season and will travel to New Egypt today for their next match.

The Cross Country Teams will return to action tomorrow at a batch meet hosted by Burlington Township High School.

The Middle School Soccer teams will kick off their season this week.
