Mr. Devlin hosts the SRO Kendall Sendoff

What a wonderful surprise to witness as Principal, Octavia Lee led a truly unknowing SRO Kendall into the Gym this afternoon & onto the red "carpet" to his retirement throne!  His giant shadow filled the double doorway and his expression told the story of how truly special today had become.

Faculty and staff members of the CSS Hospitality Committee spearheaded this school-wide sendoff with gifts, cards, poems and more that ended in hugs with the honored guest for all!  Items like a dozen L&M Donuts, Sunglasses, mini-golf clubs, pool floats, along with a coveted winter cap emblazoned with logo for his favorite football team: the Pittsburgh Steelers!

Emcee and Lead Teacher, Mr. Devlin ribbed Officer Kendall for his 250 years of service, noted that he was a Palmyra Alumni, a member of the Palmyra Athletic Hall of Fame and that he still had a chance to change his mind about retiring!  He invited each class up to present Officer Kendall with their class gift and reminded the students that Officer Kendall was always one to uphold the Panther Pledge and #BeKind #BeSafe #BeResponsible & #BeRespectful.

Thank you for your service to our town, to your alma mater, to our kids.  We are #PalmyraProud and will miss you upon your retirement!
